Hello Friends,
You’re friendly neighborhood No Capper here! Happy Tip Off Day, New (W) Year or whatever term you want to use for all that celebrate. It’s one hell of a marathon from the start of March Madness through the WNBA Draft and now to the start of the season. We appreciate you all, free or paid or just popping in, reading and listening or watching our content. It’s truly a community that we’re trying to build and for those day ones, we can’t thank you enough.
Now…let’s talk about what’s to come this summer.
I also personally want to issue a bit of a mea culpa. To be quite honest, the sprint that we as a team thought March Madness would be became a marathon leading into the start of the WNBA season rather quickly. It’s a learning experience given this time last year we weren’t quite at the scale that we are now and so next year will be a bit easier to deal with. We want to make sure you’re getting the most out of your $10/month and I’ll apologize on our behalf for possibly not giving you guys enough in the last month.
But luckily that’s about to change now that we’re underway this season. We’ll have a steady stream of subscriber only features that will be coming out throughout the summer as well as a couple new perks too. For starters, we’ll be opening up the chat feature so anybody that’s a part of the Ball-Knowers can kick whatever discussion topic they see fit. On top of that, we’ll have a new monthly chat installment for you as well!
Introducing ‘Sticky Notes’.
I’m sure many of you are familiar with the concept from Inside the NBA. Basically, the TNT crew would have a take, write it on a post-it and put it on a wall. Over the course of the year, the takes age for better or worse and we all get to see it happen. We’ve been tinkering with the concept for awhile, trying to figure out how to effectively bring you guys in on it.
So every month, we’ll be opening up a thread in our chat for you to put your Post-It notes. At the end of each month, the takes will be tallied up. Right now we’re debating about whether or not we want to make it into something where the top take artist of the year ends up with a Homefield gift card or something. So let us know if that’s something you’re interested in or if you’d rather just have it be a fun thing to check in on every month.
Chauny will also be delivering a once-monthly piece of subscriber content called ‘Pack Watch’. Effectively, who is working their ways into the crosshairs of proving their haters right? Each month, Chauny will take a look at who has and who might over the course of the next few weeks.
In the meantime, we hope you enjoy our long awaited subscriber only mailbag podcast. The June mailbag thread will open here in just a couple of weeks.
