The WNBA In some breaking news on Wednesday, Chicago Sky guard Marina Mabrey was traded to the Connecticut Sun. The trade was first reported by Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun-Times. In return, the Sky will receive guard Rachel Banham, forward Moriah Jefferson, a 2025 first round pick and a pick swap in 2026.
Elsewhere around the league, Front Office Sports reported that the WNBA is nearing a $2.2 billion dollar broadcast deal over the next 11 years. The rights agreement will be one of the most valuable in women’s sports history and put the WNBA on par with sports organizations like Major League Soccer.
