Happy March, everyone!

To say this February was a whirlwind for our team would be something of an understatement. We hosted a live speakers panel honoring the 40th anniversary of the NCAA champion (and first NCAA undefeated) 1986 Texas Longhorns. Tyler emceed the event while Chauny hosted the panel, as we brought The Legendarium: Team of Destiny to life. We, as an outlet and organization, learned a ton as first-time event hosts. So, in the future, you’ll get ample time and plenty of blasts to let you know when NCS is coming to your city!

We put boots on the ground all over the country, capturing epic postgame crashouts and asking the pointed questions we’ve needed to. Finally, we did a little ‘Big J’ journalism of our own, examining the crisis of confidence Chicago Sky owner Michael Alter experienced this past month as well as the Dallas Wings’ emerging practice facility drama.

In short, there’s never been a better time to be a Ball-Knower! We’re taking on freelance writers now (If you’re a writer reading this and have a pitch, please send it to [email protected] with your story idea and rates) on a one-feature-per-month basis. Effectively, we’ll look at a pitch, the rates, and then our crew of five votes on which one we want to greenlight. As we continue to grow, we’ll be looking to expand the program and really become a true storytelling hub for talented women’s hoops writers all over the country!
