This is a little something for our Ball-Knowers. Those that want to get a little more into the weeds of what’s happening in the world of women’s basketball. Sometimes it may be about things on the floor and sometimes it may be about the labor disputes, “view from 30,000 feet” breakdowns of the business of the sport or anything else that is of interest to our team.
Expect it to pop up on Wednesdays every now and then as we work a little extra to give you guys something to chew on as we prepare for the end of the week and the eventual routine weekend of WNBA game action.
In our first installment, we’re going to take a look at the Las Vegas Aces and their sponsorship through the city’s tourism board (also known as the LVCVA or the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority). How does it work? What was the issue last year? And, more importantly, does it really matter that it’s happening again this season?
