The discourse that plagued women's basketball for most of this year decided it wanted one last end of year hurrah but a TIME Athlete of the Year honor wasn't the only news in women's hoops this week.

We’re headed into the home stretch of 2024 and what a year (good and bad) it’s been for women’s basketball. The sport has grown astronomically and, while it’s been a rocky road as recently as this past week, I have a hope that eventually we manage to find equilibrium again.
