A Special Boots On The Ground Notebook: FIBA Americup Trials
The FIBA Americup is most NCAA women's basketball players first senior team call ups to Team USA. No Cap Space WBB had boots on the ground for the second day of trials and here's what we saw.
The FIBA Americup is a pretty cool and underrated competition in women’s basketball. Not only does it have FIBA World Cup implications but it’s also typically comprised of the best collegiate players getting their first taste of senior team basketball. This year is no different as the pool of stars is some of the best we have seen in quite some time.
While some of the biggest names — Azzi Fudd, JuJu Watkins, Sarah Strong or MiLaysia Fulwiley — aren’t in attendance, there’s no shortage of star power. Flau’jae Johnson, Joyce Edwards, Hannah Hidalgo, Olivia Miles, Raegan Beers and so many more are in Colorado Springs looking for a shot to represent Team USA at the top level.
